 BOTOX® Cosmetic

(onabotulinumtoxinA)

The first and only FDA-approved treatment that can temporarily smooth the look of moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet, and forehead lines in adults.

How does BOTOX® Cosmetic work?

Repeatedly raising your eyebrows, furrowing them, or squinting your eyes can leave you with unwanted wrinkles in predictable areas like your forehead, between your brows, and crow’s feet. BOTOX® Cosmetic temporarily reduces the activity of the underlying muscles in those areas, temporarily making these lines look smoother.

Talk to your doctor about BOTOX® Cosmetic and whether it’s right for you. The effects of BOTOX® Cosmetic may spread hours to weeks after injection, causing serious symptoms. See more Important Safety Information Including Boxed Warning and Medication Guide here.

Botox FAQs

What is the process like?

First, you’ll have a consultation with a qualified provider to determine if you’re a candidate for treatment. If you’re deemed a candidate, your provider will inject BOTOX® Cosmetic into the approved areas.

How long does the process take?

Your treatment could be as quick as 10 minutes, and there’s minimal downtime.

Does it hurt?

Many report little to no discomfort when being treated, with a sensation similar to a pinch during the injection itself.

When will I see results? How long will they last?

You may begin to notice results within 24 to 48 hours (full results will take a few weeks), with results lasting up to four months for moderate to severe frown lines.

Will I still look like me after treatment?

BOTOX® Cosmetic delivers predictable and subtle results. When treatment is administered by a qualified provider, you should still look like yourself — just with fewer lines.

What risks are associated with Botox?

Do not use BOTOX® Cosmetic if you are allergic to any of its ingredients, have had an allergic reaction in the past, or have a skin infection at the planned injection site. Before getting treated with BOTOX® Cosmetic, tell your provider about any and all medical conditions you may have or medications you take, and be sure to discuss the risks associated with the treatment, including those that are serious and may be life-threatening. See a full breakdown of all potential risks and side effects within the Important Safety Information below.

The most common side effects include bruising, redness, and/or pain at the injection site, headache, eyelid and eyebrow drooping and eyelid swelling, cold or flu-like symptoms, and allergic reactions.
